Learn more about yourself with Psychometric tests

Psychometrics is the field of study concerned with the theory and technique of educational and psychological measurement. This includes the measurement of knowledge, abilities, attitudes and personality traits. Psychometric tests help you to understand your personal strengths for employment with respect to personality and competency.

The use of the term 'test' when describing psychometrics is slightly misleading as there is no 'right' or 'wrong' answer per se. Instead, regard the tests as a useful exercise to gain a greater insight into your own character, your personal strengths and areas for development.

We have two tests here for you to try: the SHAPESTM test; this test considers your personality and competencies, whilst the VIEWSTM test considers your values, motives and interests. The Psychometric Assessments are offered in partnership with the Cut-e Group, the international experts in psychometric test development.

The tests are indicative only.

Why not try these tests you may discover things about yourself which have led to you making wrong decisions in the past. STUDY FOR FREE Psychometric Tests.

Speak English with Antony

Learning basic English speaking as a foreign language can be difficult for some students, even to the point that interest can be quickly lost by the student if self confidence isn't established quickly. The attached video demonstrates some very simple commands for the classroom and is not limited only to the younger student but older students should also try to practice. There is an emphasis here on the Thai student

Rebuilding Thailand after the floods.

Schools, universities, educational establishments and many businesses are closed in Bangkok and other parts of Thailand as a consequence of the flooding and related uncertainty. Many schools are set to return to class on the 7th November, however the official date given by the Ministry of Education is Tuesday 15th November. Notwithstanding either dates being certain, waters in Bangkok continue to rise with more and more businesses closing daily. Consequently, business and school closures and the floods generally will cost the Thai economy more than 8 billion US dollars and from now until several months and in some cases, years into the future, this cost will come back upon the Thai people.

The Thai Chamber of Commerce has estimated the flood cost at 250 billion Baht ($8.2 billion) and said it would take about three months for business to recover.  However, this is a very conservative estimate and the likely cost will be double, taking into account the grey and black economy. Agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, distribution and every type and form of business has been affected. However, the Thai people still keep up their smiling persona with a "never mind" attitude and a "let's have another go" philosophy. Ever present in their thoughts that life can get better.

Indeed, the foundation of Thai business and educational infrastructure is fundamentally supported by academic excellence and of course money, so the quality of worker in business tends to be academically astute as the education system philosophy pushes towards higher qualification attainment and more degree level courses per capita. The coming years will therefore, see the fruits of the excellence coming through the schools and universities and hence will contribute greatly to rebuilding.

Notwithstanding the education establishments and businesses pushing greater and wider knowledge for their employees, many business and academic courses can be cost prohibitive if studied on campus. However, if studied partly on line with local follow up the cost is not prohibitive and may even be free.

Start Out Right - Learn How to Study

Basic Study Skills

Most students in school, university or other learning environment usually know why they are learning and studying. They push on in their drive to attain higher marks and to pass tests for their chosen qualifications. Some students do very well while others struggle; some students are very smart and natural students while others are tagging along, content for others to do their work. In every event, it’s always great to see students of every age and nationality learning both necessary and extracurricular subjects as they try to mould their lives. However, in most study environments, the majority of students are never taught How to Study. They are not taught the most basic of human techniques, which for some students comes naturally. Many never understand that by taking a few hours to study how to study and in some cases, to STUDY FOR FREE, they miss out on great foundations which will make their lives as students much easier.

Starting out right, organizing your study, reading to remember, organizing your time, excelling in class, conducting your research, writing terrific papers and studying for tests are only some of the useful techniques that students should learn, even before they set their mind to listen to an instructor; learning and applying these necessary study techniques surely will bring positive results to months and even years of study. These BASIC STUDY SKILLS are foundations of learning.
